Trip to Madhumalai

When we had trekked up Rangaswamy Betta, Jainy had told me that he was planning a trip to stay in the middle of a dense jungle later. This was one of the things I “had always wanted to do” and was extremely interested, and cordially invited myself to join him, which he graciously accepted.

Dates: Left from Bangalore on 14-Aug-02, arrived back on 19-Aug-02 evening.

14 – Aug (Wed): Train Journey To Coimbatore

15 – Aug (Thu): Arrival at Theppekaadu from Comibatore via Ooty. Went on a night ride.

16 – Aug (Fri): Jungle trek to a secluded waterfall.

17 – Aug (Sat): Elephant ride

18 – Aug (Sun): Jungle trek to track a bison, and return to Bangalore.
